Feb 26    CHISD Future Fair

Cedar Hill ISD Hosts Inaugural Future Fair 

 

(Cedar Hill, TX) Cedar Hill ISD is hosting its first ever career and technical education career fair focused solely on high school students. The CTE “Future Fair”, will bring together local employers, experienced professionals and scholars currently enrolled in the district’s CTE practicum courses. 

 

“The CTE Future Fair is an event that exposes our scholars to professional pathways while 

building essential networking and interview skills to equip them for professional success,” said

Tyesha Lowe, CHISD Executive Director of Career and Technical Education.

     

Over 120 practicum scholars from CHISD career and technical education pathways will participate in the event. The fair will include an industry strand where professionals will promote their career choice through panel discussions and/or interactive demonstrations based on career clusters.

Resource One Credit Union will provide sessions on financial literacy, Expansion Solutions will help scholars with resume building and interview skills.

The fair is scheduled for Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the Cedar Hill Ninth Grade Center from 9 am to 1pm.
